In Denver now!

Well, the badlands were pretty badass. First, we stopped by a shop on the side of the road advertising "feed the prairie dogs!" when we approached the yard, we saw a scattered group of about 30 fat little rodents. They are like big fat blonde squirrels with small tails. We fed them unsalted peanuts, which they devoured, and while I was crouching down to feed one, another one bit my butt. I do not reward bad behavior with unsalted peanuts. Those little guys were Sooo cute!
We set up camp close to the hiking trails, thrilled to not have to take the luggage carrier(which we have named Fanny because it's like the car's fannypack) off the car and to not have to drive seven hours the next day...(most legs of our trip have been 7 or 8 hours of driving) we went hiking, went to WALL DRUG (the opposite of wall st) for lunch. I don't feel like explaining what wall drug is now but you can google it...it's weird.
We saw some bighorn deer on our hike and this morning drove past a heard of buffalo. They were pretty awesome creatures. They look heavy and dense but still so graceful.
We drove to mount rushmore on the way to Colorado..it was pretty awesome. There were a lot of people eating ice cream at 10am.
From there we drove south west... Finally leaving the great state of south dakota and spending 4 longggg hours in nowheresville, Wyoming, passing by a town called Lost Springs, population: 4.
Now we are in Denver at JR's house. We went to chipotle for burritos and passed by a medical marijuana dispensary. Such a novelty.
I feel like there are a lot of anecdotes I'm leaving out but I just cant think of them right now...
Miss you peeps!
